Abundant Life Family Coaching in affiliation with Abundant
Life Academy (a Bible based Christian boarding school for “troubled”
but powerful teens – www.abundantlifeacademy.com) offers four
types of family intervention coaching programs.
The Parent Coaching Camp
This includes a three-day family restoration workshop for parents,
followed up with four (one hour) follow-up phone-coaching meetings.
It is designed to provide excellent insight and tools creating
opportunities for family members to develop greater understanding
of how they and others function preparing the way for better
and deeper family relationships. It is proactive in nature,
in that to date family problems have not escalated to the stage
of crisis, prompting the need for a more rigorous intervention.
It provides a strong foundation for individual and family growth.

Family Restoration Camp
This is a powerful early intervention family restoration
program where the parents and child participate in a 3-day family
restoration workshop. Prior to the family workshop the “troubled
child” will have completed a 3-day Leadership Challenge Camp.
Together, (Family Restoration Workshop and the Leadership Challenge
Camp) the family has an awesome opportunity to heal and be restored
before having to look at out-of-home placements (boarding schools
for troubled teens). The catalyst for enrollment is usually
a family member (teen) that has been making poor choices and
is suffering from “Entitlementitis” and severe disrespect for
self and family members. ($2,500)
Continued Individual Family Coaching
Aftercare. This program is offered to the families
that have completed the Family Restoration Camp and are in need
of continued coaching. This is a minimum three-month commitment
that is structured around the immediate needs of the parents.
Typically, this is for the family that needs proactive coaching,
assessment, and evaluation. Individual Family Coaching is an
early-early intervention program (prevention). This program
is structured around coaching meetings that occur on an every
other week basis with two initial (2) hour meetings. ($699)
The intended outcome (end result) for any
of the coaching programs is family relationship restoration
and personal growth for all committed family members. Ultimately,
the coaching interventions are targeted for the husband and
wife, who as household authorities are looking to gain powerful
insights into proactive parenthood. The goal is to gain insight
and understanding into how we make choices as parents and how
we can provide positive input for our children’s choice making
before problems present themselves.

Abundant Life Family Coaching presents families with
the powerful option of family coaching based on cutting edge
leadership teachings grounded in Biblical principle. As family
coaches we do not perform therapy or counseling services. Rather
we work with family members bringing new awareness and perspective
to help guide their own individual growth and family restoration.
We have worked with families and their teens in affiliation
with Abundant Life Academy (www.abundantlifeacademy.com) where
we have helped many families through what might be considered
their most difficult period of time. Abundant Life Academy (ALA)
is the early intervention teen boarding school (ages 13-18)
providing a nine (9) month program. Typically, we would rather
work with the teen and their families before the choices and
resulting behavior reach the state where ALA boarding school
is the necessary alternative. When teen behavior becomes more
troublesome, and law enforcement has become involved, then one
of the only remaining options for parents of troubled teens
becomes the “lock-down” facility. We want to be your answer
way before problems become severe enough to warrant these types
of alternatives.
About Family Restoration Camps and Workshops
The camps begin with a base in understanding ourselves and others in "Understanding Human Behavior" and move toward developing a greater awareness of our choices in our thoughts, feelings and actions in "Emotional Intelligence". Building on a solid base of self-awareness and empathy, they move the participants toward growth in individual and family "Accountability" and "Leadership". Finally, the camp presents “Choice Theory”. Choice Theory is all about the battle between the flesh and the Spirit, and how our decisions applies to the family. When we follow the Spirit there is life, and life abundantly. Whenever we follow our flesh (selfishness) we suffer loss and regret.
Each camp is developed by utilizing practical and current research and are all grounded in and supported by Biblical truth. We have successfully brought our camps to believers from every Christian denomination. Through ALFC we honor Jesus. Through our ministry of growth and development we rely on the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit and often have the distinct pleasure of praying with clients as they embark on positive directional changes in their lives.
